DESCRIPTION

The ARPIEM RD is designed with a double 316L stainless steel case and a water resistance of 10ATM or 100 meters. The characteristics are an almost total absence of magnetism to not disturb the operation of the movement and a very low carbon content. This will make the watch resistant to wear and corrosion.

The RD range of watches offers a unique design. That of a rotating dial that allows the dial to be shifted by 60° and to keep an intuitive reading of the time while driving or on the handlebars. Today, this type of watch is called the"Driver's Watch". The work done on the watch allows the dial to be locked in the traditional "12 o'clock" position(REST) or its 60° shift(DRIVE) to the "2 o'clock" position. A unique feature developed by the ARPIEM brand.

The watch has a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating which is a material combining graphite carbon structure and diamond, as well as a variable amount of hydrogen deposited under vacuum in thin layers. The name refers to the qualities of diamond: wear resistance, inalterability and resistance to friction. This DLC treatment offers a higher resistance to shocks and wear than that obtained with a conventional PVD coating.

The movement of this watch is automatic: the SEIKO NH35. Mounted on 24 jewels. Frequency = 21 600Hz. A movement known as robust and reliable (nicknamed The Horse) is adapted to the character of the RD watch.

The watch is designed with Saphir Bombe quality crystal glass. It represents the best quality of glass available on the market. It is diamond-radiated only and enhances the vintage look of the jewel with its domed finish.

The glass is treated with 6 layers of anti-reflection coating which aim to limit the refraction of light on the sapphire glass for a perfect perception of colors and materials!
