Where does the traditional champagne shower come from?
In 1966, Jo Siffert won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the P2.0 class with Colin Davis aboard a Porsche 906. When he reached the podium, he received a bottle of champagne that wasn't fresh. With the heat and the length of the ceremony, the cork gave way under the pressure. To stop the flow, he slipped his hand over the ring of the bottle and doused the amused audience and his companions on the podium. The following year, Dan Gurney, winner with Ford, voluntarily sprayed everyone after shaking his bottle. The tradition was launched and can be seen in almost all motor sports.
These shoes are handmade in Italy and designed to drive our cars.
The soles, made of natural rubber, recall the shape of a tire and rise up to the heel for perfect use of the pedals. The shape of the shoe allows it to be used in either sport or touring mode. They are slightly thinner at the toe and comfortable enough for everyday wear.
