Ayrton Senna, consideredone of the greatest Formula 1 drivers, was born on March 21, 1960 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Passionate about speed from an early age, he took up karting at the age of 13, where his natural talent was quickly revealed. Senna dominated local and international competitions, forging his reputation with impressive control in the rain.

In 1981, he took his career to the next level when he entered European promotional formulas, winning the British Formula Ford 2000 championship.

His meteoric rise led him to Formula 1 in 1984 with the Toleman stable. From his very first season, he impressed with his performances, notably at the Monaco Grand Prix in difficult conditions.
